Dante DiPasquale (b. 1994) is a painter and draftsman known for blending the human figure with mythological and philosophical themes. He earned an Associate's in Art from San Antonio College in 2016 and draws inspiration from art, cinema, music, philosophy, and mythology, with notable influences from Joseph Campbell and George Lucas. His work has been exhibited in galleries across San Antonio and Austin, Texas, and is part of private collections nationwide. In addition to his artistic practice, he also teaches painting and drawing.

Join us for a two-day workshop focused on mastering value and figure rendering using charcoal, white conte, and sanguine (red chalk). Learn how to use line, shape, and form while exploring light and shadow to bring your drawings to life.

What You’ll Learn:

Day 1:

16:30 - 19:30 hrs.
Instructor demo & hands-on practice with the three mediums.

Day 2:

16:30 - 19:30 hrs.
Warm-up exercises & final drawing to apply all learned techniques.

Throughout this workshop, you’ll expand on the principles of line, shape, and form, while developing a deeper understanding of light and shadow to enhance the realism of your figure drawings. You’ll also explore new textural techniques using charcoal, white conte, and sanguine, combining them to achieve a rich, dynamic final piece.

  • No previous workshop experience is required, but some drawing experience is recommended.
  • All materials will be provided.
  • This session features a live nude model, and all participants must be 18 or older.
